Chargeable weight, explained
Airlines charge on chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. As a standard rule of thumb, 1 cubic metre counts as about 167 kg, so light but bulky cargo is charged on volume.
So the carton sizes and weights in your packing list directly affect the price. We check them with you before we quote.
From booking to the airline
- Space with the airline and the air waybill (AWB).
- Documents prepared from your invoice and packing list and sent to you for approval first.
- Follow-up with the airline and the destination agent until the cargo is handed over.
Cargo that needs a check first
Tell us early if the cargo includes batteries, liquids, powders, magnets or anything that may count as dangerous goods. Airlines have strict acceptance rules, and some cargo can only travel with the right declaration or not at all. We will tell you what applies before you book.
